THE BEST OF TODAY AND TOMORROW
A true watchmaking symbol of the first days of the 20th century, the military watch had to respond
to accurate requests for the synchronisation of manoeuvres and and precise and intensive use on
This highly desirable model is reborn today in the exclusive form of the LemonBurst, a timepiece
that combines the perfect aesthetic balance of watches from the Great War era and the technical
innovations of tomorrow.
THE NOISE AND THE FURY
No other term could better describe the extraordinary 75mm Model 1897 field gun, the centre-piece of the French artillery, better known by the sobriquet of "Seventy-Five", in reference to its fabled calibre.
Invented by the Commandant DEPORT, and the Captains SAINTE-CLAIRE DEVILLE and RIMAILHO, the barrel of 75mm was from its origin equipped with an hydraulic brake. An innovative mechanism working with oil and nitrogen for the absorption of the recoil force, it allowed for a greater stability of the barrel.
The accuracy of the 75mm gun was unprecedented.
It is a tribute to the courage of the heroes of the Great War, servants of this much acclaimed and admired artillery piece, that on the back of the LemonBurst, in the centre, is an engraving with the effigy of its bronze model, the shell of the "Seventy-Five".
IN BROAD DAYLIGHT
For a perfect display in all conditions, the numbers 1 to 11, as well as the Art Nouveau style skeleton hands, use the lattest luminescent technology for optimal readability in darkness.
The white dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal for elegance and durability.
CARVED IN A STEEL BLOCK
With a power reserve of 42 hours, using 21 jewels for 21 600 vph, the automatic LemonBurst movement is extremely reliable.
The 42mm case, fully carved from a block of stainless steel 316L, either high polished, sandblasted, black or bronze PVD is water-resistant to 200 meters, for use of the watch without limits.
