THE BEST OF YESTERDAY AND TOMORROW
A true watchmaking symbol of the first days of the 20th century, the military wristwatch had to respond to accurate requests for the synchronisation of manoeuvres, and intensive use on the ground.
This highly desirable model is reborn today in the exclusive form of the LemonBurst, a timepiece that combines the perfect aesthetic balance of watches from the Great War era and the technical innovations of tomorrow.
The 42mm case, fully carved from a block of sandblasted 316L stainless steel is water-resistant to 200 meters, for use of the watch without limits.
With a power reserve of 42 hours, using 21 jewels for 21,600 vph, the LemonBurst Miyota 8218 automatic movement has a worldwide proven reliability.
Revolutionary. No other term could better describe the extraordinary 75mm Model 1897 field gun, the centre-piece of the French artillery, better known by the sobriquet of "Seventy-Five", in reference to its legendary calibre.
Invented by the Commandant DEPORT, and the Captains SAINTE-CLAIRE DEVILLE and RIMAILHO, the barrel of 75mm was from its origin equipped with an hydraulic brake. An innovative mechanism working with oil and nitrogen for the absorption of the recoil force, it allowed for a greater stability of the barrel.
It is a tribute to the courage of the heroes of the Great War, servants of this much acclaimed and admired artillery piece of unprecedented accuracy, that on the back of the LemonBurst, in the centre, is an engraving with the effigy of its bronze model, the shell of the "Seventy-Five".
